What's the story?

It might be extinct in Sri Lanka, but the island’s legendary lion is not a rare sight. Keen for a fermented safari? Gold in colour and bold in flavour, you won’t find this fizzy breed of the mighty mammal at Dehiwela Zoo.

Instead, try cricket matches, carrom tournaments, batch trips or birthdays. Or weddings. Or funerals. Bottles, tins or plastic cups: Sri Lanka’s number one beer is best enjoyed with buddies and a bowl of short eats – whatever the occasion.

So put a call to your pal, pull up a chair and pat them on the back while asking, “kohomada, machang?” A good friend would bring a bottle. A great friend would arrive with arrack for after. And a rascal would serve you 8.8% stout.

Fabric spec

100% overstock cotton. Made in limited batches using surplus fabric from Sri Lanka's garment industry. Screen-printed by hand.

Our cotton weight ranges from 130-155gsm, so it sits well without making you sweat. Like a trusty sarong, our tees are comfortable, soft to touch and offer just the right amount of stretch.

Delivery & pick-up

Our tees are dispatched from the south coast of Sri Lanka. In the area? Get in touch to arrange a collection between Ahangama & Galle.

Alternatively, we’re happy to deliver far and wide, both within Sri Lanka and overseas. We ship our tees by registered post in bidodegradeable envelopes. Island time can affect postage schedules, so the numbers below are our best estimates.
