From fishermen to passing ships, Sri Lanka’s lighthouses have long shone for seafarers sailing off the island’s shores. Standing tall and shining bright, 14 of these gleaming beacons remain active today. Between Colombo, Galle, Beruwala and Batticaloa, their turning torches provide guiding light in dark times.

What's the story?

We’re embracing our imperfections: from podi printing problems to minor manufacturing mistakes, tee production rarely runs without a hitch. But in the spirit of transparency, we’re sharing some of our slip-ups - and making these tees available for sale.

Each features a small snag somewhere - usually a rogue smudge or blurred line. But each is still made from top-quality surplus cotton. And to thank you for giving a little love to our leftovers, we’ve discounted each tee - so you can bag a unique overstock tee for less, and we’ll still give 10% of profits to our charity partners.

Quality grading

We've graded our production seconds based on how noticeable their individual manufacturing issues are. Like auntie and her prized cutlets, we're fastidious when it comes to quality control – so there's every chance you won't spot the problem we've identified.

Grade A: a minor printing mistake that's unnoticeable to most people, such as print edges which aren't perfectly aligned.

Grade B: a small but more visible print mishap, such as a smudge or printed mark that's separate from the main design.

Sizing

Our unisex tees fit true to standard European sizing.

• Medium will fit a 38in chest

• Large will fit a 40in chest

• Extra Large will fit a 44in chest

Fabric spec

100% overstock cotton. Made in limited batches using surplus fabric from Sri Lanka's garment industry. Screen-printed by hand.

Our cotton weight ranges from 130-155gsm, so it sits well without making you sweat. Like a trusty sarong, our tees are comfortable, soft to touch and offer just the right amount of stretch.

Delivery & pick-up

Our tees are dispatched from the south coast of Sri Lanka. In the area? Get in touch to arrange a collection between Ahangama & Galle.

Alternatively, we’re happy to deliver far and wide, both within Sri Lanka and overseas. We ship our tees by registered post in bidodegradeable envelopes. Island time can affect postage schedules, so the numbers below are our best estimates.

From the fabric to the packaging, we like our tees to be greener than gotu kola. We use 100% overstock cotton sourced from Sri Lanka's garment industry. We also keep our offcuts, use eco shipping materials and pay fair wages to our team of local seamstresses.
